The Steacie Building for ChemistryThe Steacie Building for Chemistry is named in honour of E.W.R. Steacie, a distinguished chemist who served as chair of Carleton's board of governors and president of the National Research Council. The building houses the chemistry department, classrooms, labs, a lecture theatre, and a computer room. The Science Technology Centre, located off the tunnel entrance to Steacie, is home to some of Canada's most innovative technology, including a revolutionary bank note reader for the blind.
