Sujet pour 2007-2008 : Récrire la modernité : le Nouveau Roman. Le Nouveau Roman a marqué en France le dernier grand mouvement de l'avant-garde littéraire. Nous en étudierons les principales caractéristiques formelles telles qu'elles concernent structure du récit, fonctions du personnage et voix narrative chez des auteurs comme Nathalie Sarraute, Alain Robbe-Grillet, Michel Butor, Claude Simon.
Prerequisite: permission of the Department.
