ENGL 2608 [1.0 credit]

History of World Cinema

Historical survey of world cinema, examining the forms, structures and stylistic conventions of various periods and nations; attention to the development of a critical idiom suited to the description, analysis, and evaluation of film. (Also listed as FILM 2608).
Prerequisite: FILM 1000, or a 1000-level credit in ENGL.
Three hours lecture and screening, one hour lecture.
