Comparative Economic Systems I
This course builds a framework for comparing economic systems, and considers the interaction between economic and political systems. The traditional Soviet-type economy, industrial policy, and problems of transition receive particular attention. Also offered at the graduate level, with additional or different requirements, as
ECON 5806, for which additional credit is precluded.
Prerequisite:
ECON 2003 with a grade of C- or higher.
Lectures three hours a week.
