Selected Topics in Mass Communication Analysis
Topic for 2005-2006: Communication and Political Economy. Explores critical and institutional approaches to the political economy of the media. Special emphasis on the unique qualities of informational and cultural commodities, media ownership and new technologies.
Precludes additional credit for
MCOM 4101.
Prerequisite:
MCOM 3101 and fourth-year Honours standing in Mass Communication or permission of the School of Journalism and Communication.
Seminar three hours a week.
