BIT 2001 [0.5 credit]

Introduction to Business

Organizational aspects of consultancies and client responsibilities within corporate management. Topics include contracts, fees, legal issues, patents, copyrights, hourly rates, hiring and employment concerns, timekeeping and invoicing, and intellectual property. Preparation of proposals; visits by appropriate professionals.
Precludes additional credit for BUSI 2101 and BUSI 3602.
Prerequisite: restricted to students in the B.I.T. degree program.
Lectures: three hours a week.
