The Politics of Aid: Implications of the CIDA-DFAIT Merger

The I&D students are organizing an event that is sure to impress! Come and join us on October 4, 2013 for our conference entitled ‘The Politics of Aid: Implications of the CIDA-DFAIT Merger’.

The conference will be divided into two sessions. The morning session will feature two panels. The first panel will discuss the merger’s immediate implications on the delivery of Canadian aid and the second will tackle the long-term implications of this merger on the quality and effectiveness of Canada’s development assistance.

The first session will be followed by a presentation from a distinguished keynote speaker. Finally, the afternoon session will feature a job-networking event with people working in the field of international development.

Some of the confirmed participants include representatives from Care Canada, Oxfam, Baastel Group, the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), the Department of Foreign Affairs, World University Services of Canada (WUSC), Cuso International, SPPA I&D alumni, Carleton University Co-op, and academia.

Your attendance will help make sure that this event is a huge success!
