YEP Speaker Series: Aboriginal Power – Clean Energy and Canada’s First People

Check out Young Environmental Professional’s last speaker event of the year: Chris Henderson presents his most recent book, Aboriginal Power.

  • When: Monday, June 17th, 4:30pm
  • Where: Ottawa Public Library, 120 Metcalfe Street
  • Cost: Free for YEP members, $5 for non-members

The session will shine a spotlight on clean energy market trends, deal-making and project development in the spheres of hydro, wind, solar and BioEnergy between Aboriginal communities and private corporations, utilities and independent power development companies.

He will also delve into how such projects emphasize sustainable development practices, and create a sustainable stream of earnings that dramatically alter the future of dozens and dozens of Aboriginal communities across the country.

Aboriginal Power represents the kind of innovation that delivers multiple benefits for Canada: climate change action, clean energy development and prosperity for First Peoples.

This is a session not to be missed by YEP members and guests!
