SENIOR RESEARCH OFFICER

We are looking for an experienced professional with a background and knowledge in environmental economics and policy with a deep interest in research, debate and implementation of market-based instruments for better environmental and economic outcomes.

More specifically, the position will involve:

  • Leading, organizing and carrying out targeted research and writing projects on environment-economy issues;
  • Managing the “translation” of research reports and products coming out of the SP Research Network into policy products (such as the SP Policy Briefs);
  • Communications planning and execution for research products;
  • Managing relationships with academics, consultants, reviewers, and other stakeholders; and,
  • Carrying out other assignments as needed.

NETWORK COORDINATOR

We are looking for a professional with an interest in environmental economics and policy research and who can thrive in a dynamic and entrepreneurial work environment to help coordinate and manage the activities of this Network.

Specific Network Coordinator Accountabilities:

  • Oversee management of nation-wide Call for Proposals
  • Keep track of upcoming SP academic and knowledge mobilization publications.
  • Support the Director of Research
  • Assist with fundraising activities
  • Maintain master lists of publications, media stories, events, event participants, student funding, etc.
  • Proofread SP’s reports, policy briefs and other communications
  • Contribute to SP’s social media presence
  • Assist with communications, events and other administrative matters as needed
