1) General Manager, Engineering and Public Works – City of Coquitlam, BC

We require an experienced, professional individual to oversee all activities within the Engineering and Public Works Department. The Winnipeg Police Board provides civilian governance respecting law enforcement and the prevention of crime, and acts as a liaison between the community and the Winnipeg Police Service.   As the Executive Director, you will be responsible for managing all business and activities on behalf of the Board, and will provide strategic, organizational, and administrative direction to support the Board in ensuring adequate and effective police services, and that community needs and values are reflected in policing priorities, objectives, programs and strategies.

As the Executive Director you will be:

  • Acting as an advisor and liaison for the Board.
  • Assisting in fulfilling the Board’s legislative requirements and achieving its strategic goals.
  • Managing the administrative, financial, and human resource operations to ensure the Board’s effectiveness.
  • Providing leadership and direction in upholding the Board’s policies, programs, procedures, standards and guidelines.

3) Public Trustee,  Office of the Public Trustee - Edmonton, AB

As Alberta’s Public Trustee you will provide strategic leadership in delivering complex programs and services related to the administration of the property of represented adults, minor children and deceased persons. Reporting to the Assistant Deputy Minister, Disability Services Division, you will review and recommend changes to legislation and regulations to better meet the needs of clients and programs.  You will also oversee the investment and management of client funds in excess of $500 million. Through your direction and guidance, the management teams in the Edmonton and Calgary offices will coordinate estate administration programs with the internal audit and legal services areas and implement improvements to existing policies and processes.  As a member of the executive management team you will participate on cross government initiatives, contribute to the achievement of corporate goals and represent the department on committees and boards
