Apply for the new Student Philanthropy Council

The Student Philanthropy Council, a new group at Carleton that wants to move philanthropy on campus, is looking for keen, experienced students to apply for 2013-2014 executive positions. Be the change you want to see on campus.

Carleton’s new Student Philanthropy Council is unlike anything else in Canada – it allows students to choose what they’d like to put money toward on campus, and then plan the project from the ground up. These projects can include infrastructure, student space, or whatever else comes to mind. Students will plan and execute philanthropic development activities, such as learning how to fundraise, plan special events, create strong cases of support, and more.

The Department of University Advancement is hiring five students to fill executive positions on the council. These positions include a Co-Chair of Programming, a Co-Chair of Development, a Director of Communications, a Director of Learning and Organizational Development, and a Director of Fundraising.

To apply for these positions and to learn more about the Student Philanthropic Council, visit the website at http://bit.ly/11dM9qY or contact Matthew Prowse at matthew_prowse@carleton.ca.
