This year’s speaker is the Honourable James K. Bartleman, OC OOnt, who served as Ontario’s 27th Lieutenant Governor from 2002 to 2007. As a member of the Mnjikaning First Nation he was the first Aboriginal Lieutenant Governor of Ontario.
Mr. Bartleman will be presented with an Honorary Doctorate degree in recognition of his distinguished public service and dedication to promoting literacy and raising awareness of mental health issues.
