3ci Research Assistants – Needed Immediately
School of Public Policy and Administration and Carleton Centre for Community Innovation - are seeking undergraduate, master’s level and doctoral students to work on a SSHRC-funded knowledge synthesis project concerned with Indigenous youth employment in northern Canada. We are looking for people who are happy to work in teams or on their own, and who are interested in learning more about the subject of our research and research methodology.
Qualifications:
- Facility with bibliographic databases, including Mendeley
- A good understanding of basic statistics (for interpretation of labour market indicators)
- Experience with analysis and synthesis of qualitative data
- Excellent English writing skills
Assets:
- Ability to read and write French
- Ability to read languages of the circumpolar north
- Knowledge of Indigenous employment issues
- Knowledge of youth employment and unemployment issues
Project Duration: Now to December 2013
