SPPA faculty discusses the need for Universal Pharmacare in Canada
Marc-André Gagnon, Assistant Professor, released a report today commissioned by the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives which outlines possible reforms to Canada’s pharmacare program projected to save billions in health care expenditures. Drawing on experiences in the UK, France, Australia, New Zealand and Sweden, the report layouts strategies Canada can employ to reduce costs, including through adopting a national drug plan.
