Courses Course Names About the Courses
ESLA 1300 Introductory English for Academic Purposes This level introduces students to the skills and strategies they need for academic success at university including basic research methods.
ESLA 1500 Intermediate English for Academic Purposes This level further develops the skills and a strategy required for academic success, and adds to basic research skills.
ESLA 1900 or ESLA 1905 Advanced English for Academic Purposes This level develops the students’ research and analytic skills, primarily through reading and writing of academically oriented texts. 

ESLA 1905, when offered, is only offered as a Fall/Winter (September to April) course to students at the Advanced ESLA course level who have been admitted to the Faculty of Engineering and Design.
