In early September, the School hosts an orientation to familiarize you with the program, the facilities, and answer any questions you may have. You will have the opportunity to meet the faculty and other new students as well as returning students, who will be able to give you advice about life at SLaLS.

Registration

Carleton University uses an online registration system that lets you select and register for courses and make course changes over the internet from anywhere in the world. Of course only students who have been formally accepted into their program of study are able to register for courses.

Any conditions placed on your acceptance (for example, if any official documents are missing – check the pink sheet of your “formal offer” of admission), must be removed by presenting the appropriate official documentation to the graduate administrator for the School of Linguistics and Language Studies. As long as you have conditions remaining on your acceptance, you will not be able to register.
