The Rape Aggression Defense System Course

The Rape Aggression Defense System Course

What is RAD?

radThe Rape Aggression Defense System is a program of realistic self-defence tactics and techniques for women. The R.A.D. System is a comprehensive, women-only, course that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction, risk avoidance and includes basic hands-on physical training. R.A.D. is not a Martial Arts program.

Why choose RAD?

The courses are taught by nationally certified R.A.D. instructors, all of whom have completed a mandatory certification course. R.A.D has developed specialized simulation techniques and equipment for use by certified RAD instructors. The use of this equipment allows participants to practice their skills with no fear of injury to themselves or others.

Each student is provided with a workbook/reference manual that outlines the entire physical program, which they can keep for later reference and continuous personal growth. The manual is the key to the free lifetime return and practice policy for R.A.D. graduates.

Our Instructors

The Department of University Safety and the Department of Housing have a number of certified instructors, the majority of whom are women. The Department of University Safety instructors are also special constables. All instructors have passed a mandatory training course.
