Cancellation of your graduation application must be done online via Carleton Central
by the following deadlines:
- Spring: May 15
- Fall: October 1
- Winter: January 15
It is your responsibility to ensure that you have met all your degree requirements. In order to graduate students must fulfill all the requirements of their department/school
, their Faculty
, and the University
. These requirements include but are not limited to:
- minimum published CGPA’s in the major/overall/concentration/specialization/minor/co-op
- University residency requirements
- maximum of 7.0 credits at the 1000 level
- “Breadth” requirements in B.A. degrees
It is also the student’s reponsibility to ensure that all financial obligations to the University have been met.

for clarification. We strongly suggest that you meet with your Undergraduate Adviser before classes begin to ensure you have registered in courses that will satisfy your remaining degree requirements.
Students studying either on letter of permission or international exchange must provide the Registrar’s Office with a final transcript from their host institution by the following dates:
- Spring: February 15
- Fall: September 15
- Winter: December 15
You must notify the Registrar’s Office in writing if you wish to have a certain course(s) designated extra to your degree (i.e. courses you may wish to count toward a subsequent undergraduate or graduate degree). If you do not designate specific courses extra to degree, the Registrar’s Office will set aside courses with the lowest grades.
The University has a policy in relation to the release of official documents confirming graduation. If a student has a balance owing on their student account, all graduation documentation will be withheld including your diploma, transcripts and/or letters and confirmations certifying graduation.
