Human trafficking The RCMP estimates that between 600 and 800 people are trafficked into Canada each year, and another 1,500 to 2,200 people are believed to be trafficked into the United States through Canada. But those numbers don’t tell the full story – the authorities admit it’s difficult to identify victims of human trafficking because many are fearful of coming forward. Steve Rennie reports.
Podcasting pupils Two teachers at A. Lorne Cassidy elementary school in Stittsville are changing the way students in their classrooms learn. ‘Portable Radio’ is their online radio podcast production that’s helping students get inspired and bringing the classroom home for parents. Midweek’s Alana Range has this documentary.

International careers A recent Carleton University seminar taught students how to gain international experience and prepare themselves for exciting work abroad. Alanna Petroff spoke with lecturer and author, Jean-Marc Hachey, to get insider tips on how to impress international employers.
