Congratulations to Prof. Doris Buss and Prof. Sheryl Hamilton!

Both professors were recently awarded Carleton Research Prizes during the Passion for Research Lunch. As Kim Matheson, Vice-President (Research and International) notes, these awards “are given to researchers who not only have excellent track records as individuals, but have contributed to the reputation and research activity at Carleton. The activities of our winners have a transformative effect on the university.”

Faculty-to-Faculty Mentoring Award
Prof. Sheryl Hamilton
This award is sponsored by the Vice-President (Research and International). One award of $5,000 is granted to a faculty member who makes outstanding contributions as a role model of research excellence and integrity and for mentoring colleagues and junior faculty members to achieve their aspirations in research.

Building Connections Award
Prof. Doris Buss
This award is sponsored by the Vice-President (Research and International). Two awards of $5,000 are granted to faculty members who make exceptional efforts toward building connections among researchers from different disciplines across the university, as well as partners in external sectors.
