Marilou Guillemette, a Master’s student in ICS, and Leah Hoiting, an ICS undergraduate student, presented a paper in New York City earlier this month.
The paper was presented to the CUNY Phonology Forum and the title of the paper was “Language mixing and the phonetics of vowels”. The paper was very well received and an excellent fit for this year’s conference theme “Mutilingual phonology”. Eric Iacono has also contributed to the project, which is supervised by Ida Toivonen and Kasia Muldner.
