<p>The seminar will run twice this spring, once for professional staff and once for faculty and executives.</p>
<p><strong>Professional Staff, April 17 &amp; 18, 2013</strong>: This seminar is open to members of the Retirement Plan from the following groups: Administrative Management, Administrative Technical Exempt, CUPE 2424, CUPE 3778, CUPE 910, and University Safety.</p>
<p><strong>Faculty &amp; Executives, May 16 &amp; 17, 2013</strong>: This seminar is open to members of the retirement plan in the following groups: CUASA, Academic Management and Executives.</p>
<p>Seating is limited and priority will be given to employees nearing retirement.</p>

<p>The training programs fit into the <a href="http://carleton.ca/hr/for-employees/learning-development/">Spectrum Learning and Development Model</a>, specifically developed by HR.  Spectrum is a comprehensive framework that outlines learning opportunities which meet an employee’s career development needs. The model encompasses seven “streams” of learning, each represented by a colour.</p>
<p>The initial roll-out of the new training calendar will focus on foundational, equipping, communications, and skill-building programs.  These will be followed by courses with a management and organizational focus.  Program offerings will be built up over the coming weeks and months, so we would encourage you to regularly check <a href="http://central.carleton.ca/">Carleton Central</a>  as the calendar becomes populated, to see what’s on offer and to register. In addition, HR’s Learning and Development team will communicate course announcements through Today@Carleton.</p>
