Human Resources Launches New Staff Learning and Development Program

Human Resources Launches New Staff Learning and Development Program

Human Resources is pleased to announce the launch of a new learning and development calendar with a variety of programs that will be offered in the coming weeks and months.

The training programs fit into the Spectrum Learning and Development Model, specifically developed by HR.  Spectrum is a comprehensive framework that outlines learning opportunities which meet an employee’s career development needs. The model encompasses seven “streams” of learning, each represented by a colour.

The initial roll-out of the new training calendar will focus on foundational, equipping, communications, and skill-building programs.  These will be followed by courses with a management and organizational focus.  Program offerings will be built up over the coming weeks and months, so we would encourage you to regularly check Carleton Central  as the calendar becomes populated, to see what’s on offer and to register. In addition, HR’s Learning and Development team will communicate course announcements through Today@Carleton.

Do you have a training need but can’t find a course? Have a suggestion for a course? Please send your ideas to Mary Hughson at LearningAndDevelopment@carleton.ca.

Are you a subject-matter expert?  Know someone whose knowledge could benefit the wider community? We’d like to hear from you. Please contact Mary Hughson at LearningAndDevelopment@carleton.ca.

We look forward to offering you opportunities to grow in your career at Carleton.

Sincerely,

Lise Labine
Assistant Vice-President (Human Resources)
