Carleton University and CUASA reach settlement

Sept. 18, 2012

We are pleased to announce that a settlement between Carleton University and its academic staff, represented by CUASA, was reached midday yesterday and has now been ratified by both parties.

The parties were successful in reaching a settlement that spans two years and that provides for financially responsible increases.

The collective agreement expired on April 30, 2012, and the parties entered into discussions with a new approach referred to as stepped bargaining over the Easter weekend. This was followed by 24 days of face-to-face bargaining.
