Carleton to Cease Printing Tax Slips for Staff and Faculty

Beginning in 2013, Carleton will no longer print and mail T4s and T4As to staff and faculty. Instead, all employees will be directed to print their tax slips online through Carleton Central.

Last year, Human Resources delivered almost 11,000 year-end tax slips, for which the university paid a significant amount for paper and postage. Given that these tax slip are currently available electronically through Carleton Central, the decision has been made to no longer print slips.

To access your tax slips, log into Carleton Central either through www.central.carleton.ca or the MyCarleton portal. Click on the “Employee Services” tab on the Main Menu. From there click the “Tax Forms” link.

Tax slips for 2012 will be in Carleton Central by mid-February 2013. A notice be posted in Today@Carleton and on the Human Resources website when the slips are available.

While tax slips will be provided electronically by default, upon request we will send a printed version by mail. Such requests should be directed to Human Resources (payroll@carleton.ca or at 613-520-3634).
