New Scanning Options Available!

Graphic Services now offers a number of scanning options in the Carleton Library.

The multi-page scanner in the Library Copy Shop (150 MacOdrum Library) allows you to scan book pages directly into PDF files on a USB stick. Cost is $0.10 per scan, and you can fit 2 8.5×11 pages per scan so it’s cheaper than making photocopies.

Another option are the multi function devices that have been equipped with a new Campus Card reader that allows you to scan pages of varying sizes onto a USB stick. These machines are also available in the Library Copy Shop as a trial run, and may be expanded to other locations at Carleton. Cost per scan is $0.04.

Best of all, these machine uses no paper or toner, so they’re the environmentally friendly way of copying information from books in the library!
