We offer a number of progressive programs in Geography, including a Bachelor of Arts (Honours), a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) and a Bachelor of Science (Honours). The Department has an innovative B.A. (Honours) Program in Geomatics, the only one of its kind in the country. In addition, the B.A. (Honours) program offers a concentration in Physical Geography. If you’re in the B.Sc. (Honours) program, you can choose to concentrate in either Physical Geography or Geomatics.

You may wish to take advantage of a Combined B.A. (Honours) degree in Geography and another discipline in arts, social sciences, public affairs and management, or in biology. Students in the B.Sc. (Honours) program may also choose a degree in Biology and Physical Geography, or Geology and Physical Geography. A concentration in Terrain Science is available in the Combined Geology and Geography Program. If you have an interest in Geography but are concentrating in another discipline, three minors in Geography are available: Geography, Physical Geography and Geomatics.

Should you be accepted to the Carleton Geography program, the information on this website will help you to organize your class schedule and plan your workload. To receive more information while selecting your courses, please contact either me or the Undergraduate Administrator (Judy Eddy, Room B349 Loeb Bldg). Please note that the courses listed here are expected to be offered, but circumstances can arise which compel the Department to change its offerings.
