On June 26th, Carleton University honoured retired and long-service employees during a Special Celebration. This celebration included several employees from the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies.
Elsie Clement was honoured for her 33 years of service at Carleton. She worked in the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies since April, 1989 and recently retired having spent nearly 25 years as the Administrator of our Department.
Since 1978, Steve Prashker has been providing instruction and computing hardware/software support for the department in his capacity as Manager of the Geomatics Laboratories. Yesterday Steve was honoured for 35 years of service at Carleton.
Dan Patterson was honoured with a 25 year long-service award. Dan Patterson has had a very successful year having been awarded both a 2014 Professional Achievement Award and 2014 Capital Educators Award.
