Kenneth-Roy Bonin
Currently a Senior Fellow in the Faculty of Public Affairs at Carleton University, Kenneth-Roy Bonin has served as an assistant, associate and director of academic libraries, as well as in senior university administration. His prior experience also included a position in the Knowledge Centres Practice of KPMG Consulting, and he remains a Principal Associate with the Kelly Sears Consulting Group in Ottawa. He is a graduate of the University of Manitoba, the University of Alberta, Drexel University and the University of Toronto. Presently a member of the governing boards of colleges in Ontario and Québec, his teaching and research interests are in the areas of higher education organizational administration, public finance, information services and facilities management. |
Ozay Mehmet
Ozay Mehmet is of Turkish-Cypriot origin, is married, has three sons and lives in Ottawa with wife Karen. He was educated in Cyprus and was the first Turkish Cypriot to go to the London School of Economics (1959-62). Subsequently he received his MA and PhD in economics at the University of Toronto (on a Canadian Commonwealth Scholarship) and has taught at various Canadian universities including the University of Windsor, York University, University of Toronto, University of Ottawa and Carleton University. He is currently Senior Fellow in charge of a new initiative to launch Modern Turkish Studies Program at Carleton University. Professionally, Ozay Mehmet is a specialist in economic development, with special reference to Asian Tigers, Turkey and Cyprus. |
Ronald I. Cohen
Ronald I. Cohen was born in Montreal and attended Harvard University and McGill University and has been a member of the Barreau du Québec for more than forty years. Cohen was appointed as a Senior Fellow of the Faculty of Public Affairs upon his retirement after nearly two decades as National Chair of the Canadian Broadcast Standards Council (CBSC). In that period of time, he brought the fledgling Council from its modest formative state to a position of importance and permanence in the Canadian broadcasting system. Cohen has also taught law at McGill University, has been the President of the Friends of Library and Archives Canada, and was awarded the 125th Anniversary of Confederation Medal. He currently resides just outside of Ottawa with his wife. |
