Chancellor’s Professors

The title Chancellor’s Professor recognizes and honours Carleton University’s most distinguished members of faculty. It is conferred by the President, on the recommendation of the University Promotions Committee, on individuals whose scholarly activities are judged to be outstanding and who have at least ten years of service at the rank of full professor. In addition, the designation of Chancellor’s Professor is intended to increase awareness within and outside the Carleton community, of the excellent scholarly work undertaken in the University. Individuals who are appointed continue to hold the designation of Chancellor’s Professor until retirement.
