According to Dwayne Winseck, Professor at the School of Journalism and Communication at Carleton University, 58 per cent of all currently enrolled undergraduate students are women, whereas women are on average only represent 22 percent of media Boards of Directors or executive management. More…

Carleton Politics Professor Hosts Research Symposium

Fiona Robinson, Professor with the Department of Political Science and recipient of the 2012 FPA Research Excellence Award hosts the 2013 Research Award Symposium: Women’s Health, Global Health: Ethics, Power and Politics. She will lecture on “The Ethics and Politics of Women’s Health in Global Health Governance” and that will be followed by three panel discussions throughout the day. This is a far-reaching research symposium that will inform all aspects of the laws and societal pressures that govern the state of women’s rights around the world today and the direction forward.
