Computing Support

Computing Support

The Public Affairs computing team provides support to administrative staff in the Faculty and serves as a liaison between staff and the office of Computing and Communication Services.

Staff are encouraged to contact Oscar or Julio for help with any computer-related issues.

Purchasing Computers

Keeping up with the latest technology is an important part of an administrator’s life at Carleton. Administrators must ensure that their hardware is up-to-date and running as efficiently as possible in order to perform their work effectively.

The Public Affairs computing team is available to assist staff with a wide variety of computer hardware issues, and can provide guidance to staff in the purchasing of computer equipment.

CCS also provides a Computer Purchase Program, as well as a Computer Lease Program. Administrators who acquire computers through this program receive services such as setup and maintenance, as well as support services. The computers are installed with the Carleton University software package, so no additional software purchases are required.
