Faculty Board

Faculty Board

The FPA Faculty Board is responsible for reviewing and recommending all undergraduate curriculum changes proposed by FPA units. It also reviews and comments on proposals for rule changes affecting students in programs offered through the Faculty. The Board has the additional responsibility of approving candidates for graduation, a function which it has delegated to its Executive Committee. The Board has a number of standing committees, including the Academic Planning and Curriculum Committee, the Research Committee, and the Tenure and Promotion Committee. It also has two joint Committees with the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, the Joint B.A. Curriculum Committee, and the Joint Committee on Admissions and Studies. The Faculty Board is comprised of all faculty members attached to the academic units in the Faculty, and student representatives from each of the units. Meetings of the Board are chaired by its Secretary, currently Professor Andrea Chandler, of the Department of Political Science.
