SPPA Graduate students launch ground-breaking northern publication
In a bold move, Joshua Gladstone and Sheena Kennedy – both doctoral students in the School of Public Policy and Administration at Carleton University – along with Jerald Sabin – a doctoral student in the Department of Political Science at the University of Toronto and also a graduate of the MA in Public Administration and BPAPM program at CarletonĀ - have launched Northern Public Affairs, a new print and web publication featuring timely discussion and analysis of policy issues affecting northern Canadians.
The magazine is the first of its kind in Northern Canada, publishing articles by policy practitioners, the business community, journalists, academics, and the interested public. Articles are written intelligently for a non-technical audience, bringing fresh ideas and analysis to pressing public policy issues.
Northern Public Affairs is published by a not-for-profit corporation in partnership with the Nunavut Research Institute, the Aurora Research Institute, the Yukon Research Centre, and the Centre for Community Innovation at Carleton University.
