Three Carleton researchers also received renewals totalling $2.4 million to continue their work. They include Shawn Hayley, who researches the immune system and depression; Abhijit Sarkar, who uses supercomputers to assess natural and man-made disasters; and Stanley Winer, who has created conceptual models of government decisions.
