Michelle DeVidi receives Capital Educator’s Award

In an impressive ceremony on May 21st, Michelle DeVidi, who teaches in the Department of Law, was one of 20 educators awarded a Capital Educator’s Award, chosen from a pool of 200 nominees from all levels of the education system in the Ottawa Region.

Sponsored by the Ottawa Centre for Research and Innovation, the Capital Educator’s award is granted to “outstanding educators from elementary and high schools, colleges and universities who excel in teaching and instill confidence and passion for learning in their students.”

Michelle very gracefully acknowledged the support that she has received from both the Library and the Law Department in being able to combine her library duties with the opportunity to teach.

Overall, Carleton had a high profile at the event, with 6 nominees and two other winners:  David Wood from the School of Linguistics and Language Studies, and Isaac Otchtere from the School of Business.
