Community-Based Research Workshop Series

Community-Based Research Workshop Series

A series of workshops on community-based research is being offered this fall by the Community-Based Research Network of Ottawa. Participants will be introduced to the definitions and advantages of CBR, learn how to run focus groups, learn how to develop a client satisfaction survey, do CBR in diverse workplaces and communities, write winning grant proposals, and build successful alliances and partnerships. Participants who complete all workshops in the series will receive a Carleton University certificate. The workshops will be of interest to community leaders, professionals, researchers and students.

CBRNO is a non-profit working group set up by local social-service agencies and Carleton’s School of Social Work. The network is a unique local model of community-university engagement that is affiliated with the Social Planning Council of Ottawa and supported by, among other funders, the Office of the Dean of Public Affairs at Carleton University.
