Carleton scholars honoured for peace-building leadership

Cheryl Picard and Peggy Mason have been named eminent women whose “leadership supports a culture of peace.”

Along with other leaders and activists, they will be honoured at the inaugural Women Building Peace dinner in Ottawa on October 2nd, organized by the Canadian Department of Peace Initiative.

Law Professor Cheryl Picard directs the Centre for Conflict Education and Research. Formerly Canada’s Disarmament Ambassador, Ms. Mason chairs NPSIA’s Canadian Centre for Treaty Compliance.
