On Jan. 26, 20 Carleton PhD students showcased their research as part of the David Wink Memorial PhD Conference. This is an annual event that highlights the work of doctoral students in the School of Public Policy and Administration.

The conference is also meant to honour David Wink, an outstanding public servant and fellow SPPA PhD Candidate who passed away in May 2009.

The students presented on themes ranging from innovation and technology, to social policy and international development. The keynote speech was delivered by Michael Orsini, a Carleton alumnus and faculty member at the University of Ottawa, on the subject of Feeling Policy: Exploring the Role of Emotions in the Study of Public Policy.

The Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs asked four of the students to talk about their research.
