Up to three awards will be conferred annually, each bestowing an honorarium of $1,000 and a certificate of recognition. Faculty members may apply for FASS Teaching Awards, or may be nominated by their colleagues. All those holding regular faculty appointments are eligible, from Instructors to Full Professors.

Applications should include the following:

- a list of courses taught over the previous 5 years, with a brief description, and a list of graduate students supervised (if applicable)
- a tabulation of teaching scores received over this period
- any other materials related to teaching that the applicant would like the Awards Committee to consider
Applications should reach the Office of the Dean by January 31st each year, with results announced at the annual vin d’honneur celebration in March.
