FASS Event – Inaugural FASS Café

Immerse yourself in the captivating world of the Arts and Social Sciences at Carleton University’s FASS Café.  Become engaged and informed as FASS professors and students share their research and participate in a lively discussions with the greater Ottawa community.

Associate Professor of Psychology, Tim Pychyl will be presenting the inaugural FASS Café lecture on Monday, March 19 from 7:00pm to 7:45pm at the Glebe Community Centre (175 Third Avenue), followed by a 30 minute question and answer session.

Have you ever wondered why you clean your room when you should be studying, or why you can’t peel yourself away from the television when you had scheduled a date with the gym?  Pychyl’s lecture will focus on something we can all relate to – the process of procrastination.

Pychyl, an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology and the author of The Procrastinator’s Digest: A Concise Guide to Solving the Procrastination Puzzle, will be presenting his lecture:

Why don’t we just do it?  What research reveals about the procrastination puzzle

A 30 minute question and answer session will follow the presentation.

The FASS Café will act as both a venue for FASS Faculty and students to interact with one another off campus, and as a vehicle to strengthen the ties between FASS and Ottawa’s general public.

This will be the first lecture in an ongoing series of FASS Café’s.

All are welcome to the Inaugural FASS Café!
