Carleton Professor Receives Heritage Conservation Award
Professor Herb Stovel has received a distinguished international award for his advances in the theory and practice of cultural heritage conservation. Stovel has been named the 2011 recipient of the International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property Award.
The ICCROM award is given in recognition of special merit in the field of conservation, protection and restoration of cultural heritage, and for making an important contribution to the development of ICCROM. Recognized as one of the most influential people in the field of cultural heritage conservation, Stovel has been making significant international contributions to heritage conservation for the last thirty years.
