Bennell and Wright nominated for Ottawa’s Top Educator Awards
FASS professors were among six nominees from Carleton for Capital Educators Awards. The annual event is organized by the Ottawa Centre for Research and Innovation (OCRI).
Craig Bennell, director of the Carleton Police Research Lab (PRL) and an associate professor in the Department of Psychology and the Institute of Criminology and Criminal Justice.
James K. Wright, associate professor and supervisor of performance studies in the School for Studies in Art and Culture (Music), composer, pianist and author of an award-winning book, Schoenberg, Wittgenstein, and the Vienna Circle.
The annual ceremony was held at Algonquin College on Thursday, May 19.
Hosted by OCRI, Ottawa’s leading economic development agency, the gala event honours talented and dedicated professionals who have demonstrated teaching excellence, acted as role models, and instilled confidence and a passion for learning in their students.
