ICS offers M.Cog.Sc
Pending final approval from the Ontario Council of Graduate Studies and the Carleton University Senate, the Institute of Cognitive Science is accepting students to the M.Cog.Sc. degree.
Students will acquire an interdisciplinary grasp of Cognition without committing to a full Ph.D. Students will have the opportunity to conduct research in all of the interdisciplinary areas offered to doctoral students, but participate in a more focused and integrative projects. Students can complete either coursework and a research essay option or coursework and a thesis. The program is expected to be completed over 4 terms and students complete research while taking courses.
Cognitive Science addresses learning, perception, memory, consciousness, reasoning, attention, cognitive development and language. Drawing from cognitive psychology, neuroscience, philosophy, linguistics, and computer science, Cognitive Science also addresses issues from an interdisciplinary perspective.
