EURUS Welcome Professor Martin Geiger!

 Professor Martin GeigerMartin Geiger’s research focuses on international migration and mobility from an interdisciplinary perspective. He is also the founding editor of the peer-reviewed ‘Mobility & Politics’ series with Palgrave Macmillan (co-editors: Parvati Raghuram, UK, and William Walters, Carleton University). His most recent publications include “International Organisations and the Politics of Migration”in the Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies and “The Transformation of Migration Politics: From Migration Control to Disciplining Mobility” in Disciplining the Transnational Mobility of People. Professor Geiger is also a long-standing contributor to the Centre for European Studies, Carleton’s EU Centre for Excellence, as co-coordinator of the research group on ‘Social Integration and Citizenship’.

Professor Geiger’s first class with EURUS will take place in the Winter Term. There are still a few places left in his seminar on Migration and Demographic Change in Europe (EURR 4201A/EURR 5201 W).
