Carleton University first Canadian institution to sign MOU with Japanese Institute

The signing of the memorandum of understanding between the Japanese Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST) and Carleton University signifies  a co-operation that motivates the development educational and scientific exchanges for faculty, staff and students. This collaboration will invite new perspectives into research programs and open up communication in order to share materials as well.

As Carleton is the first Canadian institution to sign such a memorandum, this is a particularly exciting moment. The recognition by both Carleton University’s President and the President of JAIST regarding our increasingly global community and the necessity for institutions of higher education to work together in order to develop new technologies and solutions to issues that we face as humans is exceptional.
