The Department has established research strengths in micro- and macro-economic theory, econometrics, and a variety of applied fields. These strengths can be seen in research grants and awards, have been aggregated into a research centre (CMFE), Carleton Economics Laboratory for Behavioural and Experimental Research (CELBER), and are reflected in active seminar, brown bag, and working paper series, regular blog posts, refereed journal and book publications, and the thesis work of our Ph.D. students.
