School of Canadian Studies

Canadian Studies Home

Welcome

We often hear that "Canada is at a crossroads." The School's academic program is well placed to help us understand and explain the challenges faced by Canada and Canadians. Throughout its history, the School has participated in the reshaping of the Canadian society, shed light on the many issues that confront Canada, paid particular attention to current affairs, and helped students become vital participants in Canada's liberal democracy.

The School of Canadian Studies helps students deepen their understanding of Canada by conducting interdisciplinary research on exciting and innovative topics. We offer interdisciplinary courses that contain detailed, reliable, and up-to-date information about the complex issues and concerns confronting Canada. The primary goal of our program is to provide students with a comprehensive education - refining excellent critical, research, and problem solving skills - that allows them to function in a rapidly changing work environment, be it academic or professional.

We encourage you to explore the web site and contact me if you have any questions. We look forward to hearing from you.
