Web Services and the Department of Communications are proud to announce the launch of the new Carleton homepage.

The new responsive design, developed by Web Services, provides an optimal viewing experience that adapts to the screen size of any device and features a top space for quality photos and an auto-complete search function.

Based on analytics and consultations across campus, the new page will act as a hub to support Carleton’s recruitment efforts and present Carleton in a fresh, compelling way to those interested in learning more about the unique range of programs and activities offered by the university.

Features of the new Carleton Homepage

  • Easier navigation. With a full A to Z mobile-friendly listing on the right-hand side so that every major website at Carleton is accessible, including primary links for recruitment purposes.
  • Improved search capability.  Intuitive search functionality that predicts a word or phrase that website users commonly type in now.
  • Better accessibility. The new home page meets requirements for 2021 under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act – WCAG 2.0 Level AA.  This feature complements Carleton’s longstanding commitment to accessibility on campus.
