Our Workplace Success Guide will guide employers through the co-op work term process and offer suggestions to make the work term as productive and beneficial as possible.

 

  • The co-operative education program combines classroom theory with career-related work experience
  • Each co-op assignment is a paid, monitored work experience in which the student not only contributes to the work environment but also reflects actively on what s/he is learning throughout the experience
The recruitment period for co-op students begins one semester before their scheduled work term. Check out some key recruitment dates for upcoming co-op cycles. 
We provide on-site interview facilities for our co-op employers’ convenience.  Find out more about our interview services.
Our employers determine their co-op students’ wage, and we simply ask that fair compensation be provided. Our annual salary survey is available for reference. Federal Public Service employers are guided by the Student Rates of Pay set by the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat.
